reports have Cohen saying 3 - 7 more. Thats 21-25. The unknown is the number we lose to the draft. Regardless there is a house cleaning on the way. Delta State could be the big winner in all this. Given that Cade Hoggard is terrorizing the Gulf South Conference with his (8th best on team).293 average, it's fair to say what level talent we have. <17> Polk and <17> Raffo.
The only guys that I'm really concerned about is the african american players that we signed. Jarron Shephard, Runey Davis and Bily Hamilton are both draft guys and Hamilton will never step foot on Dudy Noble. Jarron and Runey might and they would be very nice additions to our team. Runey played limited time at Texas his freshman year.
but didn't Hamilton sign with a JUCO for baseball? He could have been one of the now infamous "double signees" for football though, and I just misunderstood.
Everyone I've talked to seems to think that he's going to go pro, though. I'd love to have him on the team. Maybe he'll get lowballed.

I also believe that Deonte Skinner from Macon signed with EMCC as well as MSU on signing day for football. I guess they do that sort of a fall back plan with grades? From what I've heard, Hamilton's family really, really needs the money. They have nothing and are really fine people. I wouldn't blame the kid at all.

36 players on the roster right now, 9 seniors. We're down to 27. Geez there's so much dead weight on the roster, it's ridiculous. I figure Jarrod Parks, Goforth, Nappi will be SOL. Others will transfer in the fall when they find out they won't play, especially outfielders if Davis and Shephard come. That's where the metal will meet the meat, next fall. I don't think Bowen makes it, with the way he's been progressing, he may go pro, we all know he can throw it hard.
I never would have thought this, but Sneed, Butler, Adkins and Duffy will all probably start next season. Not sure what's up with Freeman and Collins, I thought they was some of our bigger talents last year. Connor Powers will play if he's still here. And of course Whitney and Routt will pitch, hopefully Forrest Moore. I don't know about all the freshman pitchers, Reed, Jones, Pace, etc. Some of them will likely transfer as well.
