I am here to eat my crow on the Sussex/Luray game. Sounds like a very dominate performance by the Tigers. Should be two very good match ups next week with Sussex hosting Altavista and Riverheads hosting Colonial Beach.

Riverheads was definitely the better team tonight no doubt. They played their game. No big plays just 3 or 4 yards a pop. Essex missed Tim Johnson but even with him Riverheads would have been tough to stop. Won't get any sore loser stuff out of me. The better team won. Essex returns all their skill guys next year and pretty much the entire team as only 8 seniors and only about 4 were contributors. Also a jv team who won the district. But this year is over but I'm still looking forward to 3 more weeks of great high school football. 1A is gonna be fun coming down the stretch
