Everything worked out for Rice in the end and good for them. I was against the decision as much as anyone and am not privy to anything related to Rice but that toxic environment is not a good thing. Again good to see those seniors have probably the most impressive run of Rice football players in school history over a 4 year span.

Fenwick opted out this year not sure why but after pissing and moaning about Rice I will let Fenwick do as they choose..who the hell am I anyway.

Providence has never been in the Prep Bowl playoffs so this year is no different than any other for them. I believe B-Mac was the same.
I love to see extra football so maybe my reasons are selfish.

That is beyond stupid. If I were a Coach at some of those CPS I'd play Independent

Great idea. EXCEPT....coaches are paid by CPS, not the individual schools. CPS requires all teams to play schedules in the city. Playing independent = no pay for coaches.

Laurence will host De La Salle next week. I assume that means that Hope is playing?

Old rule was if you lose in the first two rounds you can play for the prep bowl. Once you reach the quarters, your out

As far as I know, that still is in effect. Hope got beat up by Gibson City yesterday, 31-7. The fact that StL is playing De and not Rita (with De having a bye) tells me that someone got back in. The only CCL team that lost yesterday was Hope, as far as I know.

Per the St Rita Website They state that Hope Academy has forfeited the game Friday. This would normally anger me but as I have stated before It is totally wrong what the CCL has done to Hope Academy.Any reason for the school not being invited to the ne CCL?

I really think it was just easier to have 24 teams instead of 25. The Conferences then probably just told Hope no because they’re not a full fledged member of the CCL. That’s my guess, based on nothing but assumptions.

MOST of the coaches were class. The ones in the booth, however, screaming f-bombs at the end of a hard-fought game (in front of 6-8 year olds, no less) were not so classy. And the one coach who assaulted a recent grad, for having the audacity to tell these grown men to watch their language in front of small children, was not so classy. The head coach promised to fire said coach, so he did his part. However, not very fond memories of them this year...
