From 30 yards and in Bo does have an adequate gun. In my opinion he struggles

throwing downfield.

We don't disagree often but we do here.

All the respect in the world for Tyler but he was a terrible fit for our offense and really contributed to our
struggles. I think this year is going to open up some eyes.

Wallace almost came to MSU. If he would have come, would he be starting this year?

Answer: No

He knew that, too.

Glad we've got Dak
Yes yes I'm here. Yes, I am absolutely aware of how many tds Dak has last season. I am also aware that if he stays until graduation he will probably have astronomical numbers. What I was saying is we only have one season to go off of with Dak and we all know that one season of relative success doesn't equate to many years of all-American numbers.

Bo's numbers do?

We've only got about 0.65 year on Dak in reality...

Never said that. I was referring to how some people are saying that he will put up Tebow/Cam Newton numbers when the reality is we simply don't know yet.

as well. He put the tackles out wider which took away the outside game and forced the QB to
keep more and they had someone keeping a much closer eye on Bo as we did. When you couple that with the fact that you guys couldn't really throw the ball down field effectively your offense seemed to struggle more after the Bama game.

Exactly. Teams with good fronts dared us to run between the tackles.

The only time we could against a good defensive front was the LSU game, and we had made an adjustment to bring Engram down inside as an extra blocker, and we cut the jet sweep between the guard/tackle hole.

It's really a problem with any offense when you're having to try to scheme around your personnel. Once you've started doing that, anyone with good personnel is going to be able to scheme to beat you. We had one major weakness early, and we added a second weakness late in the year, which is why teams with solid fronts (Bama, Auburn, Missouri, and MSU) made life difficult on us.

We'll see if our OL is stronger up front. We'll be less experienced, but I think we'll be more talented overall than we were last year. If they can get the job done for interior runs, stopping our offense will become a much bigger challenge.

Damage control: my actual take

on this issue is as follows: Dak will have more passing touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, and rushing yards this season. Bo, by the nature of the offense that he runs, will have a higher completion percentage and yards. In summary, Dak will have an overall better year.
