I get really tired of every year hearing how players have trained harder than ever before, the team chemistry is better than ever before, they're just really more focused this year, etc. The statements really seem more ridiculous when you look at them historically. I remember when Croom was coach hearing players talk about how much harder they were training than last year (when we all know that wasn't true). One year, the players will say we're just really focused this year and the team has a great vibe. Then the very next year, the same players will say, well, last year we really weren't that focused and the team chemistry just wasn't there... But THIS year, we are really getting it together. I guess it goes along the same lines as every strength coach ever hired works the players sooo much harder than the last one.
I just get really tired of hearing the some comparisons to last year... every year. RSS is the one who really brought this to mind for me. When he doesn't get drafted again and is back next year, I bet we hear how THIS year he's really grown up and is in better shape than ever.

When it comes to out basketball team saying these things, I cant help but believe them for the most part considering the basketball teams comments the last few years have been nothing but the oppisite of training hard and working harder than previous years...

With the football team and your example of crooms I see where you are coming from, and for the most part agree with you, but on basketball having never heard the team say they have been training harder than years past, I cant help but believe them. Maybe Im just getting wooly!</p>
