I must say I'm sorry btw to all the board.In my excitement I didn't read the topic & thought Lockport vs Providence was going to be the post season for the Prep Bowl this year.I figured they would try to do something to infuse it since many don't care as much for it anymore although I do.Again sorry guys.I also heard from a "know" in CPS and take that for what you may said Leo vs the new High School in Englewood next year too at Soldier Field

I agree that the event could use new blood, I just thought the idea was to have Chicago schools represented by at least one of the participants in each game. If they are opening it up then I'd like to see some regional representation. PC vs Lockport should be played in the south burbs somewhere.

Simeon didn't beat MC, they beat Rice in 2012, my mistake. Simeon beat Rice 2005. Providence was never in the Prep Bowl.
Those are the only wins for the public league since 2000.

I like the Providence Lockport match-up and it's about time this happened since they have never played each other in football. Some of my friends think Providence will blow them out. I feel like it will be closer than people think. But, I don't picture Lockport winning that game. Maybe we can catch them off guard in week 1.

I would also like to see Lockport put JCA on the schedule at some future point. I like close non-conference games.

Looks like Provi has scheduled more reasonably in Weeks 1 & 2. IMO, they've overscheduled many years. It's a good thing they've lightened up too, since they have St. Laurence and MC in crossover games. That's still a very tough schedule.

This is correct. MC couldn't stop Robert Gregory. They did end up in the State Championship that year though somehow
