Let’s face it, Huggins blew it when he had the “Press Virginia” thing going and didn’t continue to recruit players who fit that style. He had developed a system of play that worked, then went away from it. If you know your Mountain East Conference, it’s like West Liberty stopping it press and walking the ball up the floor. Makes no sense.

Press virginia put us on the map for a lot of people. Peoples loved it, even non-WVU fans liked watching that exciting brand of basketball. Sports media heads talked about it and touted WVU as a tough team to beat for anyone because you had to solve our press. Huggins going away from it is one of the worst coaching decisions I've ever seen in my life on any level. We have been irrelevant since then. We use an offense that was great back when Maria Carey was new, but it sucks now and kids cant run it because no one else really does anymore. The fact that Bob went away from what not only worked but was making WVU fun and popular, is beyond stupid imo. He should've stepped down 2 years ago at least.
