It means he went and talked to the guys taking the field. Don’t read too much into it. The attitude of the walk ins who haven’t played doesn’t matter
Frost has always come across as dumber than a bag of rocks in his interviews. I remember after the 19-0 loss at Arizona State in '96 he talked about what a good game he had. He may be book smart (questionable) but he really is brutally bad at interviews.
Also basically confirmed we have a mentally fragile team. Hmmmmmm, I wonder why they are that way.....guess they take after you coach.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard him take responsibility for a loss. I get he didn’t muff the punt, take the safety, fumble the ball, or throw the interception. At some point though you have to take responsibility for the product on field.
All these loser newbie Iowa fans want us to keep Frost because they know a smart coach would beat them easily every damn year.
Yeah well, the results on the field say otherwise. Time and time again, we get beat by teams that play harder for their head coach. A comment here, a snub there. All of that adds up. And it matters.

Who said the players quit? The kids on the defensive side of the ball are playing hard for their coaches. And playing hard for each other. The defense has great player leadership this year. Scott Frost isn't moving the needle for the defensive players.
Where Frost gets an "F" is team mental focus and mental toughness. That's something only the head coach can determine.
