on a last second FG by Artie Cosby. First game under the lights and on CBS. Great atmosphere. Probably Emory's last significant victory

I was only 7, but I watched that game on beta tape multiple times

and I'm pretty sure Al Michaels did the game. I remember him saying "This is what college football is all about!" after the field goal.

It was Dana Moore (father of forrest, yeesh) not Cosby who kicked the game winner. And correct, nobody left. It was really a surreal feeling inside that stadium under the lights for the first time and on a thursday night to boot which was quite a novelty then. One of my most vivid memories from that game was hearing the the LSU band, who pretty much had the bleachers in the south endzone all to themselves, play the chinese bandit thingy after a defensive stop. First time I had ever heard it. The game winning FG was also kicked on that end of the field.

Don't think it was Thrs nt (November 13, 1982 according to schedule and there were games on the 6th and 20th) but it was one cold 17in game. MUSCO did the lighting, the trucks rolled in around Tues of that week. I had a date w/ a girl from Eupora that I barely knew from a class I had w/ her. I was standing on the row of seats behind her, my arms wrapped around her. I could tell she was freezing and said , "You cold?" She replied "cant you tell, I'm shaking like a ********". THAT and the rest of the afternoon and evening is my fondest memory of that game, not the last second field goal.

I would have sworn it was during the week but memories fade. Maybe it was the fact that they tested those light several times during the week.

It was on a Saturday. That was my first MSU game. Still remember jumping up and down after Moore's kick. I was nine years old.
