Did they fix the problem with it sinking into the ground because it was built too close to the Mississippi?

Part of the deal between the city and Bass Pro was to shore up the west side closest to the river. I doubt that did anything substantial but apparently it was good enough for Bass Pro. If there's ever a big earthquake, it's toast. If the shaking doesn't get it, the liquefaction will.

Maybe better as BP. Sucked terribly for concerts. The acoustics was similar to a 55 gallon drum.

If the New Madrid fault breaks loose in the right place with a big one, the pyramid/Bass Pro won't be the only thing that's toast. The whole town will be pretty much destroyed. There's probably nothing in Memphis that's built to withstand a major earthquake.

I can't see it

I refuse to open a FB account...just shoot me.

Just wondering if they plan to close the I40 location, after opening this one?

Not that it will really matter to me.

The only time I ever went to pyramid was for titanic exhibit. I used to love the international exhibits that the Cook Convention Center and Pyramid would pull.

That place is a PBA, but..

Potential badass, but I'll hafta see Memphis and Shelby County not 17 this up to believe it. My grandad had a politically incorrect saying that might fit, "I'm like a blind **think blazing saddles**, I'd rather see it as hear tell of it." God rest his soul, that said, I hope it's a roaring success.
