I remember when I first read the article, I thought it was cool because it was the first time in my life that I had seen MSU in an article in SI, and it had MSU beating Ole Miss in football. Bear in mind, I was 13 at the time.

I thought it did a great job of trying to explain the rivalry between MSU and Mississippi. It's hard for people who aren't from Mississippi to try to explain it so someone else.

is that when Brewer was first hired at Mississippi, in their football programs that fall, they featured a series of quotes from prominant college football coaches praising him. One of the quotes was from Texas A&M coach Jackie Sherrill.
