Make sure to work your butt off to land as many of the c/o '11 in state recruits you can get.

It looks as if Adams is heading to Duke, so put on a full court press to make sure we land Johnny O'Bryant. I also think we need to lock up Deville Smith by this summer and work hard on Hood, Ammons, and Luckett or any others Stans thinks we might could land. I also saw on a Rivals article that LaQuentin Ross still has us in his top 5, not sure if we have a chance at getting him, but Id definately recruit the heck out of him this summer.

A rejuvenated Rick Stansbury
A guy who continues to recruit well but better than before also
A guy who is willing to go get an offensive assistant or coach every damn game like it is Kentucky
A well coached team that wins the games it is supposed to (with a minor exception here or there and losing 3 crappy non conference games and several crappy conferences doesn't fit that bill)
A coach who gets the most out of his players regardless of attitude (again with a minor exception here or there - I'll give Walter Sharpe as an example)
A coach whose players improve each year under him

Now is the time to make opinions change and confirm others. Do your job to the best of your ability and get us over the hump.

You act like he almost got fired and MSU decided to give him one more chance. I'm not sure why he would feel rejuvenated after yesterday

Adams isn't going to Duke. I sure he's fascinated with Duke and the attention that comes by being recruited by Duke. But, in the end, he will be at MSU. This is one thing that I feel totally confident in saying.

The Duke offer is making it tough on us, but I think the fact that this staff has been recruiting him for so long will get him in the end. Plus, mama and daddy want to see him play every game.

I mean it was a significant event. It was something that made him say <span class="storybody">“At the end of the day there was no question in
the end what I felt. It’s nice maybe to have been wanted, it’s nice to
have heard some people talk about some things. <span style="font-weight: bold;">But at the end the day
there was no way I could walk away from Mississippi State and what we’re
established here over 12 years.”<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span>

</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">I want every game coached like that bold statement. Show us what you have established.</span></span></span><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">
</span></span></span>

I have read on both Rivals and Scout that Adams is planning to visit Duke's campus this summer and more than likely will commit onhis visit. The only way I see us getting Adamsisif his GPA isnt good enough for Duke admissions.Im not sure what they are but I know its a lot higher than State's.

a lot of duke recruits commit over a year before they come to school. 2 of Duke's 3 signees for 2010 committed in 2008. If they really wanted him, they would get him to commit now. The fact that they set up a visit for the summer, probably means that they will try to get some of their top guys to commit between now and then.

plus i don't think he has the grades.

I could see him leaving for a big-name program, but I think we have a better shot at him than UM.
