was pretty funny. I was hoping for more Fire Bianco threads over there tonight, but it wasn't as bad as I thought.

They didn't find it humorous at all. I didn't mean for it to come across as ******. Just a little innocent razzing among in-state foes. But, anyway, they said I may make their top-ten list!..........fingers crossed.

I went to my first egg bowl in 77 and I've seen them with both. Brewer brought back the powder blue, and as I recall, because the winning didnt return with it, the fan base wasnt all that attached. That's why Tubberville brought back the Yale Blue which is their actual school color.

THis is similar to my absolute confused state over why our fanbase wants the uniforms from Rocky's first years. I could maybe understand if we had some sort of winning tradition in them. My memory of them is horrid.

Hell, if uniforms bring back performance lets get the 1998 unis or the 1941 uni's.

But back to UM......the powder blue just seems out of place.

but there is a certain segment of our base that loves it. i think its just the connection to the "glory years". i've never even heard said where it came from to begin with. don't know if vaught dreamed it up or what cause as someone said in this thread, yale blue is the official color. but hey you have to have something to argue about during "uniform month".
