How does Croom justify probation being a death warrant for recruiting? As I recall we only got a one or two year ban on post season. I don't think that Saban could have gotten us to a bowl game those first couple of years. I just refuse to believe that being on probation is going to cause a recruit not sign somewhere.

No way our probation should have affected recruiting considering the only post season ban we got was during his 1st year and by the time they announced it, we were already out of the picture for a bowl. Now I could understand his 1st class, because nobody knew how bad we were going to be hit, but you add the fact that he didn't show up until after Green Bay got knocked of the playoffs, we weren't getting anybody decent anyway. The fact that he had to start a walkon QB this past year, tells you all you need to know about Crooms idea of recruiting. After 5 years and the only decent QB we have is a damn walkon not to mention our best WR is a walkon. Croom is full of **** as always.

And if he gets some sucker AD to bite on it in the future.. he may get another job.
