Problem with Internet Explorer 8?

Has anyone else installed internet explorer 8 and not been able to log into SPS?
When I try I get a message that will not allow entrance and then another message saying to return to my home page. Just wondering if others have encountered this. I have no trouble getting in on Firefox.

There is a compatibility button but it doesnt work for this site....still get the same problem. I have problem with some other sites too, IE8 sucks, dont get it.
