Absolutely. I wouldn’t have thought less of the fans or students if they had left after what ASU was doing to us in the 2nd half. But to their credit, they stayed. Huge. Just huge.
This will be one of those “I was there” wins for students. Lifelong fans are made out of experiences like this. When they are old farts like us they will be talking about this the way some of us talk about Jackie’s best teams
Yep... Hope every student parties like hell tonight and lives a long time to talk about it.

That was 11 years ago. I only went back 10 years.
Have always come up short in games that really would be program movers.. 98 Tennessee, 99 Bama, 2009 LSU, 2014 Bama, 2017 Bama, etc.
Finally got what seemed to be a momentum changer.
We needed that. First time this team and program has felt alive since the pirate
It really feels like we finally found the bottom at the end of last year. The portal season was an obvious net positive and we are set up to only need a few in conference play to get back bowling.
I know there are some freshman tonight that will think back on this game like I still think back on my freshman 2000 1st game against Florida. Hopefully they get a better 4-5 year run than I did!
Look I don’t know what the rest of the season holds, we may start 4-0 and finish 0-8, that is not totally off the table. I don’t know how “good“ we are, but we are at least feisty, which has not been the case in a long time. We will see what happens in conference play, it’s still a beast of a schedule.
But I don’t think I can express just how miserable the last two seasons were for us and how good tonight felt. We had lost 13 P5 games in a row coming into tonight, 12 by double digits. We basically gave our home fans nothing to cheer for two years in a row.
Tonight was special and I’m so happy for everyone that got to experience it live. I hate I wasn’t there in person but it was still awesome from my living room, even if I did scare my wife and toddler half to death with all the screaming after the game-winning TD.
