I know a lot can happen in the next couple of weeks, but does anyone have the 2A west seedings projected?? Just curious to see the likely match-ups.

Union_Fan from another message board....wrote this up...

For Richlands to be #1.....Union loses to Letcher Central, Appo loses to Amherst, Glenvar loses to Radford, ALL of Richland's defeated opponents(that can) win out, and at least 1 of Eastside, Lee, and David Crockett lose their final game.

1.) Richlands 9-1 277 27.7
2.) Union 9-1 275 27.5
3.) Appomattox County 9-1 273 27.3
4.) Buckingham County 9-1 262 26.2
5.) Glenvar 9-1 262 26.2
6.) Giles 9-1 257 25.7

For Union to be #1..... Even if the top 6 win out, Union can still snag the #1 spot if...ALL of Union's defeated opponents(that can) win out, and Heritage loses one of their final 2 games.

1.) Union 10-0 292 29.2
2.) Appomattox 10-0 290 29
3.) Glenvar 10-0 280 28
4.) Richlands 9-1 274 27.4
5.) Buckingham 9-1 263 26.3
6.) Giles 9-1 256 25.6

If Appo loses to Amherst, the rest of the top 6 win out, Heritage loses one of their final 2 games, and Graham, Abingdon, Grundy, Virginia High, and Bluefield win 6 of their final 8 NON-SW District games.

1.) Union 10-0 292 29.2
2.) Glenvar 10-0 280 28
3.) Richlands 9-1 274 27.4
4.) Appomattox 9-1 273 27.3
5.) Buckingham 9-1 262 26.2
6.) Giles 9-1 256 25.6

But most likely 1-6 go like this because I don't expect Lee, Crockett, and Eastside to all win out.

1.) Appomattox County 10-0 290 29
2.) Union 10-0 288 28.8
3.) Glenvar 10-0 280 28
4.) Richlands 9-1 276 27.6
5.) Buckingham County 9-1 263 26.3
6.) Giles 9-1 256 25.6

Now, for 7-16.....

If Graham wins out, Gate City over Central, Va High over Lee, Grundy over Ridgeview, Ridgeview over Honaker, Martinsville loses their last 2, and Altavista over Gretna.

7.) James River 8-2 228 22.8
8.) Dan River 6-4 208 20.8
9.) Graham 5-5 207 20.7
10.) Central-Wise 6-4 202 20.2
11.) Grayson County 6-4 195 19.5
12.) Gate City 4-6 194 19.4
13.) Virginia High 6-4 194 19.4
14.) Grundy 5-5 192 19.2
15.) Ridgeview 5-5 181 18.1
16.) Lee 5-5 178 17.8

If Graham, Ridgeview, Gretna, and Va High all win out, Central over Gate City, and Martinsville loses their last 2.

7.) James River 8-2 228 22.8
8.) Central-Wise 7-3 216 21.6
9.) Dan River 6-4 209 20.9
10.) Graham 5-5 207 20.7
11.) Grayson County 6-4 195 19.5
12.) Ridgeview 6-4 195 19.5
13.) Gretna 5-5 193 19.3
14.) Virginia High 6-4 193 19.3
15.) Lee 5-5 180 18
16.) Gate City 3-7 178 17.8

If Graham, Ridgeview, Gretna, and Lee win out and Central over GC.

7.) James River-Buchanan 8-2 228 22.8
8.) Central-Wise 7-3 216 21.6
9.) Dan River 6-4 209 20.9
10.) Graham 5-5 207 20.7
11.) Ridgeview 6-4 196 19.6
12.) Grayson County 6-4 195 19.5
13.) Lee 6-4 194 19.4
14.) Gretna 5-5 193 19.3
15.) Gate City 3-7 178 17.8
16.) Grundy 4-6 177 17.7

If Martinsville wins just one of their remaining 2 games they will knock one of the above 13-16 teams out depending on which scenario we end the season with. James River only has Covington left, so they will most likely be a lock for #7. The fight for 8-16 will be intense.

So if appo beats Amherst they'll lock up the #1 seed ??? If Dan River beats Altavista next week (DR on a bye this week), will they hold on to the #8 seed?

Most likely - because Union needs 3 opponents to win games - which they likely of them all winning out is low....however i believe that both Union and App. can actually receive the same MAX score and could have to go to a tiebreaker...not sure what those rules are
