already one very high qb recruit has said "NO" lolWhy would he want to play here, it is not like Greg is going to open up the offense for him and let him show off his skills? He is looking to improve his draft status, not hand the ball off of on first and second down and throw a screen pass on third.
When was the last time we ran a screen pass? Why would he want to play here, it is not like Greg is going to open up the offense for him and let him show off his skills? He is looking to improve his draft status, not hand the ball off of on first and second down and throw a screen pass on third.
During Schiano's first stint he clearly showed that when he has the confidence in the offense and the talent he will open it up. You probably have no idea what I am talking about - further proof that you have no idea what you are talkingWhy would he want to play here, it is not like Greg is going to open up the offense for him and let him show off his skills? Mich and it was a pick 6When was the last time we ran a screen pass?
I wish we had a screen play in the playbook!
The last one I recall was when we were going toe to toe with Michigan deep in the 3rd - how did that work out. Could it be that he knows he just does not the personnel yet to run certain plays. When was the last time we ran a screen pass?

I said a 'screen pass' not bubble screen pass. There is a big difference in the way the plays are run.The last one I recall was when we were going toe to toe with Michigan deep in the 3rd - how did that work out. Could it be that he knows he just does not the personnel yet to run certain plays.
Since I have been following Rutgers football since the early 70s I guess you are right, I am totally clueless. Give me a break.During Schiano's first stint he clearly showed that when he has the confidence in the offense and the talent he will open it up. We actually try to run that a lot on 3rd and long.I said a 'screen pass' not bubble screen pass. There is a big difference in the way the plays are run.
The standard screen pass is to the RB
First you ask a question and punctuate with a period. Then you make a statement and punctuate with a question mark. Your. Moments in general match your grammar skills. Why would he want to play here, it is not like Greg is going to open up the offense for him and let him show off his skills? He is looking to improve his draft status, not hand the ball off of on first and second down and throw a screen pass on third.
God I hope soNo accomplished QB will come to Rutgers unless they will be the starting QB. And if that happened, do you think Gavin would not then put his name in the portal?
Oregon or Rutgers
Is Notre Dame going to become the eternal venue for 5th year, hot-shot portal QBs looking for a Natty, but who invariably end up going 10-3?
Let’s see if RU makes top 10 on his list.
The one that got picked off….When was the last time we ran a screen pass?
I wish we had a screen play in the playbook!
How about one that the defense hasn't been told is coming. The one that got picked off….
I guess Schiano didn't throw much in 2008 - 2009,Since I have been following Rutgers football since the early 70s I guess you are right, I am totally clueless. Give me a break.
There is a screen play in the playbook. We saw it turned into a pick six vs Michigan. When was the last time we ran a screen pass?

screen pass on third ? what did I miss for 4 years ?Why would he want to play here, it is not like Greg is going to open up the offense for him and let him show off his skills? He is looking to improve his draft status, not hand the ball off of on first and second down and throw a screen pass on third.
If we don't have the personnel to run a screen pass, God help us all.The last one I recall was when we were going toe to toe with Michigan deep in the 3rd - how did that work out. Could it be that he knows he just does not the personnel yet to run certain plays.
Greg's team 4yrs in and we've so many holes its' like the TitanicIf we don't have the personnel to run a screen pass, God help us all.
Healthy food? @MrsScrew is serving blue lettuce in the blue lot. When we have healthy food WRs, and more than one healthy RB, and a TE the offense will open up.
Is that a rhetorical question? Will we have to endure this banter every time a QB enters the portal now?
I rewrote that twice haha.Healthy food? @MrsScrew is serving blue lettuce in the blue lot.
But a program good enough to have it's fans complain about a bowl game it probably will go to since RU qualified for it's second bowl game in Greg's 4 years back as HCGreg's team 4yrs in and we've so many holes its' like the Titanic

Not true.. we ran a couple successful screens vs Maryland. But the point is true enough.. it took all season. We tried a few.. the Michigan one stands out and showed me that GW might not be seeing the field well enough, quickly enough, to make good decisions. But we have seen those WTF-was-that moments from every QB in recent memory... including Simon in past years.Mich and it was a pick 6
