Also got David Washington (Hinds JUCO DT formerly committed to Joker) coming in

at some point. 2 guys from Hargrave coming in the same weekend as Ramsey, love to see that. Bulldog Blitz is also reported that we're bringing in Elijah Daniel, a 4* DE, from Illinois for a visit.

Love to see the JUCO and Hargrave connections being utilized.

Someone bring the jumbos to the cookout...

Stansbury said we could borrow his grill.

Yeah, sloppy seconds from UK after a coaching change is definitely the blueprint for sustained success in the SECW.

This is the million dollar question. Considering that about a quarter of our commits have blown their knees out (and there is no way we can take that kind of a hit), and no one is sure how many we could sign to begin with, I just hope to get the best players we can. And the last couple of games have really shown a spot light on the fact that we have to up the talent level some.

Keep that false pride in check, sport.....

This guy was a 3* DT two years ago with offers from UK, Arkansas (Petrino), us and Virginia. From a talent-laden school in Atlanta as well, Fitzhugh's school. Pretty sure he could help us.

There has been several players from UK the past few years that could have been very helpful to our team.

Randall Cobb and Stevie Johnson would of brought a couple extra wins.

And now, he is an unranked JUCO with offers from us and Kentucky. And I am not sure I would use Arkansas as the litmus test for recruiting defensive talent. Keep believin' every recruit can be coached up, chief.

I suspect Mullen would have done wonders with Morgan Newton too.....

Guy just lost all confidence up there. He's talented too.

I am not suggesting that Kentucky has not had their share of talent and NFL quality players. Hell, they probably have as many people in the league right now as we do.

I hope the Washington kid can play, I really do. I am just not going to go patting this staff on the back for bringing in a non-rated JUCO DT that opens his recruitment back up after Joker Phillips is fired from UK. Let's be totally honest here, the kid has two offers us and UK. What would you do? Stay committed to UK not knowing who your coach is or open up your recruitment?

With that said, Washington is not guaranteed to commit or sign with us.

On the other hand, Jalen Ramsey is a whole different story. If this staff can pull that kid, that would be something.

Rumor has it that neither of his parents want him to go far from home to play football. Seems he is starting to have second thoughts about flying out to the west coast as well...

Looking like this may become just your usual Mississippi State/Alabama recruiting battle**

I would hope that it doesn't matter.

Unless our class is filled with elite talent top to bottom, you have to make room one way or another. If we don't want to do that, we can just go ahead and get comfortable with the fact that this staff will never close the gap between our program and the upper echelon of the SEC.

Yep. I would also say that we cannot and should not take projects with torn ACLs. Projects, a few. Elite talent with a torn ACL, maybe. But projects with torn ACLs, never.

Who are our ACL victims this year? I remember Devante Scott, Trent Simpson and Dezmond Harris. Did I miss anyone?
