Props to Swedenburg on punting this weekend especially into the wind...

Def props. And he was consistent. It almost looked like he could kick a football in a trash can Saturday if it was on the 21 yard line.

But can he kick it between the goal posts? Not sure why we can't find someone who can do that. I thought Bell was supposed to be good but 3 misses, albeit one of them blocked, to start the season is not confidence inspiring.

A blocked kick can be the kicker's fault too, especially if the kick is too low. People who saw him play in HS said that he had a good leg but not much accuracy. And that was with HS goal posts. Looks like they were right. If he's on the travel roster this weekend, I'm going to be even more pissed than I am now. There's no excuse for us to be this bad at that position.

I agree it can definitely be the kicker's fault. It was hard to tell from the TV if the blocked one was just low or if our protection failed. We've got Bell, Egan, and another freshman whose name escapes me. One of these guys needs to step up. I can handle missing from 45 and out, but when we deep in opposing territory we need to know we can come away with points reliably.

I too thought we had another freshman kicker beside Bell. Wasn't he going to walk on? What happened to him?
