There is no rhyme or reason to when or where they play well. Going into tonight I thought we'd either get blown out or blow Florida out. I would not have been surprised if either happened. Congrats to the team for manning up and getting a good win.

Mississippi State beats Florida.
Georgia beats Kentucky in Rupp.
And Arkansas-Fayetteville has taken Mississippi to overtime.

Nothing went the way I would have expected tonight.

With our typical starting bunch we are a finesse team. Especially with Randy, Varnado, and Ravern all in at the same time(often Dee waits to show up until the second half too). We do better against a team like FLA who is lighter down low. Teams like Olemiss, AU and LSU who get in our face and get after us are difficult and we see those huge swings (10-0) runs against us.

I like the intensity that Kodi, Bailey, and god forbid at times Benock bring to the lineup. Getting loose balls, O-rebounds, etc....Plus Kodi and Bailey have decent mid range scoring potential, which we otherwise lack.

Too lazy to look up stats, but I suspect this is true.

People don't want to hear it, but this up and down type of play is pretty typical of a young team. Its frustrating no doubt, but not a surprise.
