protect children from ANY 3rd party authority that wields too much power.

Most importantly, treat any of these individuals like the thugs they are. Doesn’t matter if it happens in a church, high end neighborhood or the slums.

And schools. Protect children from schools where there is a much higher rate of sexual crimes against children.

Sure is, but that doesn't make all who preach in his name good people.

I also cannot understand how a Christian supports Donald Trump. Explain that one to me.
Bad people in ALL walks of life. Glad you acknowledge the King

I am on staff at a Church.

How do you feel about Trump claiming to be a Christian while also saying he never asked Jesus for forgiveness because he didn't need to?

How do i feel? I dont know his heart..yours or anybodys...

Of more importance...it is our job as christians...you and i..to spread the message of Christ and to DEFEND it

Adults going to church is good but children really need church in their early years

You seriously won't call out the fact that a core tenant of Christianity is repenting of sins and asking Jesus for forgiveness?

Anticipation Popcorn GIF

I have some really strong opinions on organized religion and the types of people who are so drawn to it…based on my own observations/experiences as both a child brought up in a religious home and an educated adult who has little use for organized religion.

But, I do enjoy a good TI back & forth about Christianity. Catholic defenders are some of my favorites.

Do you have a good feeling about Hitler's heart? If you had to vote...would you go yes or no on having a good heart for old Adolf?

Ah yes, the brain dead repetition of ridiculous comparisons from the left. When Trump exterminates 6 million Jews and starts a world war that kills over 70 million soldiers and civilians, then let the Adolf comparisons fly. Until then, most people assume people making those comparisons are complete imbeciles.

Both sides love their echo chambers, but as someone who studied German language and history at Clemson to the point of falling a few credits short of a minor, most have very little idea of the extent of what the Nazi’s did.
When we have a repeat of Kristallnacht (‘38) here in the U.S., then I’ll take note. We’re quite a ways from that happening.

Guys, let’s not derail this thread. This thread is specifically about the significant danger children are in every time they enter a church. Please stick to that topic and take other discussions elsewhere.

Because I see the good he does while you only seek to judge and condemn him

I suggest read the Bible and you will find in there many great religious men who had skeletons an sinned

If you will send me your address I will send you a box of stoning rocks

Those without sin get a 25% discount on all orders

Actually my simple-minded friend, the point of bringing up the specter of Hitler was in response to the usual "i don't know a man's heart" ******** that bible thumpers love to trot out when cornered while supporting pieces of ****. Try and go a little deeper next time.

Christians generally have no problem judging any and everything they see or dream up, but they tend to go with the "no man can judge" BS when it comes to looking at someone they like.

I think anyone outside the cult of MAGA, even yourself as you claim to be, can confidently assert that Trump's "heart" is a flaming piece of **** regardless of what jhallen says. I mean I think we have enough data on hand to make that call lol.

Exterminating millions of people is in a totally different stratosphere of proof points about someone’s “heart.” It’s just so stupid. The only people who say or post stuff like that have room temp IQs or have had their minds poisoned by social media political algorithms.

jesus christ dude do i really have to spell this out for you again...

jhallen said he can't judge a terrible person's heart. it's a joke of a premise because we judge people all the time in all facets of society (not to mention Christians do it in hilariously ironic and hypocritical ways).

therefore, i asked him if he could judge Hitler's heart. i went to someone that all of us outside the MAGA bubble thinks is one of the worst people to ever live to show the fallacy in jhallen's premise.

i am not making a direct comparison between Hitler and Trump other than they're both pieces of ****. your sitting VP famously alluded to Trump possibly being "America's Hitler", but that's not what I'm doing here.

you've said many times that you don't like Trump, so I can't imagine a scenario where you wouldn't be comfortable stating you know what is in his heart. you know he's a piece of ****.

I also cannot understand how a Christian supports Donald Trump. Explain that one to me.

The idea that Christians can’t support Trump is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of both Christianity and politics. Christians aren’t voting for a pastor... they’re voting for a president. The question isn’t whether Trump is perfect (he’s not, no one is), but whether his policies align more closely with the values we care about: religious liberty, protecting the unborn, safeguarding free speech, defending traditional family values, and pushing back against the moral decay being normalized by the Left.

Trump doesn’t pretend to be a saint... and frankly, that’s part of the appeal. He’s not fake. He fights. And in a culture that increasingly mocks faith, erodes biblical values, and labels Christians as bigots for simply believing in truth, many believers would rather back someone who defends their rights than someone who judges them for how they vote.

Jesus is our Savior. Trump is just a blunt instrument God might use to hold the line.

Conversely, it’s impossible to reconcile claiming to be a Christian while supporting the modern Democratic agenda. You can’t stand for Christ and simultaneously support the murder and mutilation of children, the erosion of protections for women, the destruction of the nuclear family, and the celebration of moral decay in society.

Christianity is rooted in truth, life, and order... none of which align with what today’s Left promotes.

same bucket. amazing.

This isn't the dunk you think it is. Christianity is built on following Christ, not flawed men. When a pastor fails, it’s not proof that Christianity is false... it’s proof that sin is real and humans are imperfect. The standard is Jesus, not people who fall short of Him.

You don’t reject science because of one corrupt scientist. You don’t abandon law because one lawyer breaks the rules. So why would one hypocrite negate a faith rooted in truth, not in that person’s behavior?

You're either mentally ill or a subversive Satanist :ROFLMAO:
When someone responds to a simple expression of faith with “you’re mentally ill or a Satanist,” they’re not making a point... they’re just waving a flag that says, “I’m unhinged and out of my depth.” You didn’t refute anything. You didn’t even try. You just exposed yourself as a clown with no argument and even less self-awareness. Keep laughing... it’s all you’ve got.

my man you just suggested a loving, omnipotent, omniscient God would go out of his way to enlist the help of a miscreant like Donald Trump to cut benefits from the poor and chase down immigrants like they're vermin. and he would do so while Trump sells bibles while admitting on video that he's never asked God for forgiveness for anything.

do you understand how stupid this makes both you and God sound in this scenario?

You’ve got it backwards, champ. God’s been using flawed, broken, even downright wicked people to accomplish His will since the beginning of time... read literally any part of Scripture. Noah was a drunk. David was an adulterer. Paul hunted Christians. And yet somehow, they were still used for good. So no, saying God might use someone like Trump isn’t stupid... it’s biblical.

What is stupid is thinking your selective outrage and warped theology somehow puts you in a position to lecture anyone on how God operates. If you think human sin disqualifies someone from being used by God, you might want to have a chat with… well, literally every single person God ever used.
