Let’s be honest… most teams would fold up the tent losing their 2 best players, especially this late in the season, but this team hasn’t. They fight like hell. Effort is always there. That’s what happens when you have a coach players want to play for and high character guys on the team.

Even in our losses out west they played to the final whistle. Washington we certainly could - probably should - have won and Oregon who knows if they missed a few FTs.

The defense tonight kept Iowa’s shooters from perfectly squaring up a lot of possessions and as a result they couldn’t get cooking. Let’s keep it rolling, Monday!

Folks on here were critical of the team. It was deserved. They responded with tremendous character. Ballers. Hard not to to be a fan of this team. Lock down Collins.

So proud of the job the staff did to prepare this team for tonight’s crucial game. The defense created turnovers early and contested almost every shot except for a few open threes. Even when Mickelson went down the team continued to play excellent D down the stretch. A real team victory with lots of contributors. Go Cats!

The D has really come around during this stretch. That was where I had felt we had lost the most when Barney and Leach went down

Didn't know Phil started playing basketball. Hard with rheumatoid arthritis😂
