Assuming BR will have to contend with a solid running game behind a sizable OL and a stingy defense that’s yielded only 15 points in two games.

I think it’s a great match up. Everyone seems down on PC and that might be for a lot of things but this JR and SR class is solid. I see it as a well-played, physical football game.

I think this will be a good game. Like Rock said this senior class was very good at Provi. Some talented juniors too and Vaughn is the real deal at RB...Provi has a huge line and Warren is still suspended...Rice’s kicking game is awful. Rice has the home crowd...it’s a pick em....also where is PC Dad_MC Grad? He was a good level headed poster who pissed him off?

I don't think PC has the offensive fire-power to put points on the board vs this Rice D. I read that they had trouble on O vs Morgan Park. They would have needed to have the best week of practice of all-time to go from struggling vs MP to scoring multiple TDs vs BR.

BR's O isn't explosive either, but BR's D > PC's D.

Low-scoring defensive battle but I see Rice squeaking out a few scores.

This isn't last years br defense. They gave up 20 points to hillcrest who only scored 22 vs Sandberg. That being said pc will have to be able to throw the ball against br to open up the run. Should be a good low scoring game.

Week 1 tackling is always sloppy. Throw in the best RB in the state and you're bound to let up a big play or two.

Thought pc would be a good upset pick until I found out harvest drive is today. PC historically plays bad because kids are out of there normal routine.

Not sure if this is accurate but that Irving kid is the real deal. I was super impressed with him. Can’t think of anyone I’d take over him.

Before you get all sappy about PC Dad, don't forget that he said Mt Carmel should be ashamed of itself for wanting to play last Fall around the time of that Chicago cop's trial. We were supposed to cancel the game due to his sensibilities. He can jump into nearby Lake Michigan.
