Last night after the game, when returning to my truck, we Realized it had been broken into. Busted the passenger side rear, grabbed my pistol from center console, and bolted. Thankfully they were lazy, it could’ve been a lot worse. Parked over on Eden st., have for years, since 2008ish. Never had this issue before. Called the Richland County Sherrifs, and they said about 20 other folks had reported the same thing within 30 minutes if one another. Anyway, I guess it’s an easy target with a bunch of red blooded football loving gun toting pickup trucks sitting unattended for 4 hours, knowing we have to leave our guns inside, because we can’t carry inside.
Lesson learned, hope no one else has to learn it. Y’all stay safe.

That seems to be the MO for break-ins lately, although they usually don’t break windows. According to the investigators I know, they are looking for easy targets. When they get in they are looking for cash or guns. Not too interested in anything else.

No cameras overlooking the parking areas? If not, it's time to correct that!

Unfortunately, that doesn't always work. Someone went through our neighborhood breaking into cars.

There were several security cameras that caught the person. Hoodie, can't see face, and wearing gloves. No real leads.

I'm curious if there were any external clues to the firearm being in your truck, like a sticker advertising your firearm brand loyalty.

I heard about that. The words out and thieves know they can have a field day during the fair and in game days. There is no one monitoring most of those parking areas. :(
