Carter has a shot to avenge one of his college losses. Hope he gets bonus. Will see.

Let's pray we don't have to listen to hockey during the first half of the match.

Good day to get some backups some experience. Weigh everyone in just to keep folks sharp.

Watched Nebraska v Purdue yesterday just to see #125 - Matt Ramos v Liam Cronin, and Kendall Coleman v Peyton Robb.

With the dual meet in hand Nebraska sat Cronin and Robb which really sucked. I guess I have to say, maybe they were dinged up but my monitor smelled pretty bad.

Levi a bit over eager for the back, but I respect it. He looked strong.

Carter 11-3, guys need to be separated. Washington in Carter’s face after struggling not to get pinned.

Note, Washington had the initial TD, then it was all Carter

Kerk easy TD, rolls for 4, breaks hold, another 2 on 1, 4 more, breaks hold again.
2 stalls against Indy. 11-1 after 1, Kerk must have at least 2 in riding.

Indy takes down to start period 2. Another 2 on 1 tilt…..gets 4 count and that is it. 5:59 is the time

35-8

157 - David Evans weighed in at 142 against a guy who was honored today as a senior.
Evans with initial TD, escape.
P2, Indy takes down, Evans over a minute, then escape, flurry at end of 2 but no points
P3, locked hands on Indy, point Evans, escape Evans, but no longer has riding time 4-2, Evans delaying, but then gets very late TD.
Nice match

Washington what a bum. Guy was gassed after 3 minutes and starts stuff after he gets majored. What a joke.
Starocci's mouth apparently started some stuff before the match ever got under way. No doubt Starocci was much the better wrestler, but his alligator mouth definitely has some growing up to do.

I suspect the staff isn't pleased with that sort of thing. I checked out the tweet, very stupid toward a guy who has done basically nothing ( no AA ) other than beating Carter once a while back. No need to trash talk.

But it is also clear the loss still eats at Carter. I guess he has improved since then. If he uses revenge as a motivator, it worked. Running your mouth about it, not the greatest look.

If memory serves, that loss was Starocci's first-ever PSU varsity match, during the three-way dual at Northwestern to start the "Covid Season". Right off the top, he tried to be aggressive and wound up surrendering a quick six points (takedown plus four back's) for his trouble. To his credit he fended off the pin, fought back, but wound up losing 10 - 9. Going down by six points anytime is alot to overcome but the Freshman wrestling his first college match never quit trying to pull it off.

Yep, I recall Washington had two big moves and Carter fought back. Number 1 shouldn't be talking trash to the #15 guy, no matter what the history. Bartlett knew it was his first victory against DiMileo Friday night in 8 or 9 tries. Certainly it motivated him. He acknowledged it and moved on.

sorry there wasn't much PBP. I'm not sure what happened with @GregPickel. I was on a wrestling mat, reffing a tournament from 8:00 am until @ 5:10 pm -- a very long day even if you love wrestling.
