What a gritty battle from Desmond!!!
That was a great match. Desmond is really fun to watch. Wrestles really hard.
He looks/seems bigger than those early duals at 141. Hell yeah!

Desmond filling into 141 opens up some fun lineup options in the next couple of years.
That was a great match. Shame either guy had to lose. Desmond continues to impress.
Throw an undersized back up out there, and he turns out to be as fun to watch as anybody in the lineup. I really have to remember not to take this time frame for granted.

Circling & hand fighting with brief tie ups. SVN presses forward. McNeil circles around center. SVN fakes a shot. Stoppage for caution on McNeil. Hands to the face, maybe? Back to tying up & hand fighting. SVN shoots, but McNeil blocks him off. SVN shoots again, but same result. He shoots again, but still can't finish. Back to tying up & hand fighting. SVN tries an underhook, but no luck, 30-sec left. More tying up & hand fighting to end the period. 0-0
Period 2:
McNeil takes down. He works to his feet & gets the escape, 1-0. SVN presses forward. Stoppage for hands to face again on McNeil, point SVN, 1-1. SVN shoots & gets to a leg. McNeil gets a leg too. SVN keeps working & finishes the TD, 4-1. SVN gets McNeil bellied out. McNeil works back to his base. He sits out. SVN tries an assassin, but McNeil rolls to his belly. SVN goes over 1-min of riding time. McNeil works to his feet, but SVN takes him out of bounds, restart. McNeil is still down, 18-sec left. McNeil turns, but SVN counters & gets him bellied out again. SVN rides out the period. 4-1 SVN, +1:17 RT

SVN takes down. He works to his feet, but McNeil trips him back to the mat. SVN turns & McNeil drops to a leg for a 5-count. Stalling on McNeil, restart. SVN is still down. He works to his feet & gets the escape, 5-1. SVN charges forward, but it's stopped for hands in the singlet. SVN shoots off the whistle & finishes another TD, 8-1. SVN goes back over 1-min of riding time. McNeil is bellied out on the edge. He works to his feet, but not for long & SVN gets him bellied out again. SVN rides out the period & adds a RT point for the 9-1 Major!
