Anybody else nervous when Lachlan was leading 1-0 in the 2nd and there was a chance SVN would go down in the 3rd?
Ordinarily I would hate everything about this but in This case I’ll make an exception.
157- #4 PJ Duke vs. #13 Cameron Catrabone
Period 1:
One more before the break. Just a couple freshmen. Here we go! Hand fighting & circling. Catrabone is long & lanky. Catrabone drops in on a leg. PJ wraps around the waist. Catrabone keeps working & comes behind for the TD, 3-0. PJ works to his feet & gets the escape, 3-1. Stoppage for something. Injury time for PJ. There seems to be an issue with his right arm/shoulder. Dan Monthly is rubbing the back of his shoulder. He's okay & we're back to action. Catrabone takes down on the restart. He rolls, then gets his hips out for the escape, 4-1. Tying up & hand fighting. PJ presses forward. Catrabone pushes back, 1-min left. PJ reaches for an ankle, but can't get there. Hand fighting head to head & they break. That was the 1st time PJ has been taken down according to the announcers. More tying up & hand fighting to end the period. 4-1 Catrabone
Period 2:
Catrabone takes down. He works to his feet & PJ lets him go, 5-1. Tying up & hand fighting. PJ picks an ankle & finishes the TD, 5-4. Catrabone works to his feet & PJ lets him go, 6-4. Tying up & hand fighting again. PJ drops to a leg. Catrabone locks through the crotch. Stalemate & restart. Circling & tying up. PJ picks an ankle. Catrabone tries to roll through, but PJ finishes the TD, 7-6. PJ takes the lead! PJ gets Catrabone bellied out on the edge. Out of bounds & restart, 5-sec left. PJ rides out the period. 7-6 PJ
Period 3:
PJ takes neutral. Tying up & hand fighting. Catrabone shoots, but PJ blocks him off. Hand fighting forehead to forehead & they break. More tying up & hand fighting, 1-min left. Catrabone drops to a leg & finishes the TD, 9-7. PJ gets a quick escape, 9-8. PJ drops in on a leg & finishes the TD, 11-9. Wow, what a match! Catrabone works to his feet, but PJ takes him out of bounds, 15-sec left. Catrabone is still down. Catrabone works to his feet, but PJ hangs on. Catrabone gets back to his feet & gets the escape, 11-10. Time expires shortly thereafter. PJ adds a RT point for the 12-10 victory.

I liked Stacy's mom. I like Jaxson Dart's mom too. Not sure why we are talking about pretty mom's during the match. But never a wrong time to discuss this subject.
No. PJ is not wrestling with that mean and Nasty Attitude now. He should be killing this guy when he’s himself. Maybe it’s coming off a loss. Just want to see that carefree mean attitude. Will see against OSU. Glad he won
Great match. PJ didn't get a chance to do that against stalling Taylor.
PJ needed this match. He needed to fight for the win. Sloppy, but he'll take it.
Really looking forward to about a dozen more Duke vs Catrabone matches.

Sloppy but gutsy match from Duke. He needs to clean some of that up.
That definitely wasn't P.J.'s cleanest match, but, those things will happen when you are a rue Freshman. He is obviously freakishly strong for a true freshman, he just needs to clean up his technique a bit. It was great to see him get the escape and takedown when he absolutely needed it to avoid the upset. A match like that should actually help him down the road.
Was shocked when no one was mentioning 157 in this dual .
Is PJ hitting the freshman wall, or is he having a tough cut to 157? He’s seemed to be a bit off the last couple of matches

I don't think so. Sometimes you have to look at the opponent as well. Good opponent with two guys pushing the pace.
PJ will major him at Big tens if he gets the mean attitude back. That’s the PJ that made him #1
