I'd really like to know what kinda training Cael put them through this week. Everyone looks sluggish and breathing heavier than they usually do in 3rd. Hell...Mitch even looked whooped.
I don't know. Luke and Marcus both looked superior with their conditioning. Welsh wrestled unimpressive but then blew up an exhausted opponent and Cole was the third OT winner and seemed to have more energy then Feldman. I thought they looked pretty darn good.

Does our dominance help or hurt the sport? Serious question. I know we all love this program but is it bad for the sport to have 1 program dominate like this?

Doesn’t look like Iowa is gonna set an attendance record tonight vs Michigan.……. Lots of empty seats. 😉🤣
Iowa's Carver record is 15,955. Penn State had the indoor record of 15,998. Tonight's 16,006 is now the new indoor record.

Iowa holds the record for outdoor attendance, 42,000 plus in the football stadium against Oklahoma St.

Not sure this OSU team beats 2018 OSU.
It doesn't, and it's not that close. I've got the 2018 team better at five weights (most decisively better), the 2026 team better at two weights, and three near toss-ups. The 2025-26 anOSU team is very good; the 2017-18 team was exceptional.

Tomasello > Bouzakis
Pletcher = Davino (toss-up, maybe edge Davino over the sophomore Pletcher)
Mendez > McKenna
Hayes = Stiles (toss-up)
Micah Jordan = Cannon (toss-up)
Bo Jordan > Paddy Gallagher
Kharchla > Romero (174 was sort of a hole in 2018, worst weight in line-up)
Martin > Fishback
Moore > Geog
Snyder > Feldman

Back in the 1980s 3 time 150 pound champion Nate Carr bumped up to wrestle 3 time 158 pound champ Jim Zelesky. Zelesky majored Nate, just physically dominated Nate.
In 1974 Wade Schalles, a 158 lb wrestler for Clarion, went up two weight classes to wrestle Floyd Hitchcock of Bloomsburg at 177 lbs in the PSAC Wrestling Championship Tournament.

Schalles PINNED Hitchcock and was voted the most outstanding wrestler award for his achievement.

Schalles was ineligible to wrestle in the NCAA DI wrestling tournament because of an NCAA violation he incurred.

Hitchcock not only won the National Championship at 177 lbs, but he was also named THE MOST OUTSTANDING WRESTLER for the tournament

Blaze/Davino is a lot like Dake/Taylor. Usually that's going to lean ever so slightly toward Blaze/Dake ..but it's razor thin and the learning curve here for the first match is for Marcus to be more active in the first 5 minutes to either get that takedown or stay clear of getting dinged, which could have happened there in the first one.

With that said there is no way Byrd deserves the 1 seed in two weeks and the only person who thinks so is our new resident hater Corby, who I am now calling MSU157 😂
Um, no. Taylor was never going to beat Dake. Dake was Taylor's daddy.

Devino will beat Blaze before he graduates.

Not true. Posted earlier Blaze should get the #1 with the win tonight and his strength of schedule. I also picked him to win and NCAA title this year before the season started. Not many here were doing that in October. What a hater 🤷

For being a tough accomplished wrestler in his past, he sure has become a whiney B!atch!
The best representation was a photo where he and Tom B were holding a trophy. Big's I believe. Neither wanted to give it up. They both must of known it might be their last shot being in the proximity of one.

how many times I gotta sat strength means nothing Bucks are always well at least looking stronger than PSU guys I will take technique all day long!
Technique… All day long. Besides, I think a lot of guys look (and think they are stronger) than guys like Levi and Kasak until they feel that country boy strength and realize they’re on the mat with a brown bear.
