As an aside buckaroos, I will continue to use folksy westernisms when discussing our Cowboy cousins as long as they continue to imagine themselves as successors to the mantle of Zane Grey, Larry Mahan, Jim Shoulders and the like, dress their wrestlers up in Deadwood-style accoutrements (so to speak), and have a roster in which half their wrastlers are named after barnyard animals, other various beasts o’burden, country sounding adjectives (e.g. Rowdy) or verbs (e.g. Chase).

If ye don’t like it, you can mosey right past the post
Yee-haw!

Great win for Hoare! That being said, I like Brown’s length as a prospect more than Hoare’s build.
It was. Hoare got in awfully easy on some of those attacks. Wondering how rusty Brown was -- he skipped the offseason to recover from a knee injury. This was his 2nd match of the year, and the first guy wasn't even a warmup act.

Regardless, if they both remain at 215, they'll likely meet again at West Regionals and probably states. By then they'll both be tested -- Hoare will go to Ironman; Brown will go to Escape the Rock and Trojan Wars. Both will face state finalist Roscosky in duals.

It’s worth noting that Kendahl didn’t do a full offseason either. He wrestled at Fargo and some duals events here and there but no national duals, etc. I think he was a little dinged up after the season last year.
