Exactly, attempting to judge Franklin's entire body of work by two games last year is utter garbage. The guys overall record was very good. He took us to CFP Sponsored post-season games in 7 of his 11 full years and he inherited a team that had just over 50 scholarship players (in an era where you couldn't buy Free Agents). His overall record especially after his first 2 years was very good. Franklin's teams were always competitive against everybody they played - this team looks so uncompetitive while spending more $$$ on this team, it is utterly absurd that anyone supports this cluster-f created by Krafty The Clownboy.
Bushie--what is with the "CFP Sponsored post-season games"? It makes your argument 100x worse

Here’s to hoping no current or future PSU HC gets over 10 years and multiple renegotiated raises/extensions to win 13 (while losing 3 btw) in a single season.
Don't worry. 13 wins is the impossible dream with the staff and the way it recruits.

Why would you put your hand on your facemask while in the set position at all, at any time?
Probably because he's an 18 year old true freshman playing the hardest position on the field? Why people expected this to work out is beyond me: Almost zero programs start true freshmen at left tackle. It's an indictment of how thin this roster was after last season.

Oh, well that would be an indictment of Krafty The Clown then as PSU lost 6 OL from their Roster and 3 more from their 2026 Class of HS Commits after Kraft's Folly last season. Good Lord you Franklin-hate spewers endless excuse making for this utter crap-show for the past 2 years are ridiculous.

Here's a good example of what an arrogant buffoon Kraft is...... Chesney made it publicly known that he was getting offers but preferred the PSU job over all of them. Krafty The Clown dismissed him out of hand, wouldn't even speak with him..... He's undefeated and 2-0 to-date in the b1g - somehow he's found a way to have UCLA competitive.

He is a redshirt freshman - in year 2. It’s not unusual at all to start such a player in this era.

Call me crazy and the last two weeks have been total **** shows at a level that we have only seen a few times over the last 10 years but I think we beat USC.

Posters here aren’t living in reality. Reality is PSU is headed towards bottom of big ten permanently.

NIL will be all that matters and the teams with the ability to buy elite talent will thrive. PSU fans are cheap let’s be honest and NIL is trash.

The AD is awful, the staff is mid with young coordinators who are unproven.

.....the highly paid NIL Transfers absolutely stink. Walk-ons could produce the same results we're paying $30 million for........

If NIL/$ is all that matters, then we'll be ok. Not elite, but certainly won't be at the "bottom of the big ten permanently" from a financial standpoint.

Lol, he made it "publicly known" and your evidence is a Reddit post speculating on rumors about what happened. Case closed I guess.

It is well known that Chesney wanted the PSU job, but Krafty The Clown snubbed him. Even Rick Neuheisel (whose son was on the Staff at UCLA at the time) stated it late in the season on National TV during a CBS Broadcast of a PSU Game. Outright stated that he had definitive knowledge that UCLA had offered Chesney the job (and that Chesney was who UCLA wanted), but Chesney had not accepted UCLA's offer because he wanted the PSU Job. This was a week or so before the whole debacle with Sitake and Chesney signing with UCLA the same day (i.e., Kraft announcing that he had landed Sitake and PSU was merely working out the details...... only to find out that Sitake would turnaround and say that he had not absolutely agreed to go to PSU and then took a counteroffer from BYU. Kraft has made a fool of himself so many times on the National Stage, that the rest of the b1g and FBS for that matter has to be chuckling that PSU is paying this utter clown and empty-suit multi-million $$$s to just destroy one of the proudest, most valuable and successful franchises in all of CFB.). You could get someone to do what Kraft has done for minimum wage..... but PSU is paying him millions with a $16 million guarantee???? Only at PSU could the hack administrators just burn PSU's valuable and precious resources on themselves with ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for their work or outcomes. Beyond pathetic but sadly the reality of where we are at.... and these a-holes expect the Alumni to fund more of this bs???? LMAO at the tone-deaf empty-suit bureaucrats.

Here is what he actually said...
"“I’m hearing Bob Chesney from James Madison at UCLA. He’s got to make a decision but with Mike Elko re-upping with Texas A&M, which is being reported,” Neuheisel said. “It seems like Penn State still has got a spot and Chesney is from the state of Pennsylvania, so maybe he’s waiting for something a little bit closer to home.”"

In Bushwood world "I'm hearing" and "maybe" quickly turns into "DEFINITIVE KNOWLEDGE".

Well, he is not a true freshman, for one thing.

He surely is no Orlando Pace

Chesney wanted the PSU job you idiot - it is a well known fact. Chesney did not take the UCLA job until the day Clownboy announced that he had a deal with Sitaki and they were just working out the final details (a deal he did not actually have as evidenced by Sitaki taking a counter offer from BYU..... and becoming another coach in a long list thanking Clownboy for getting him a big pay raise and contract extension). Chesney kept UCLA on the hook for weeks until Clownboy announced that he had hired Sitake (which he hadn't) this immediately prompted Chesney accepting the UCLA job. But according to you this is all coinky-dink - Chesney left UCLA hanging for weeks and then takes UCLA's offer the same day Clownboy announced he had hired Sitaki - which he actually hadn't. LMAO.

Whether PSU wins against USC comes down to Becht. If he hits the open receiver like he did against Marshall, they win. If he misses wide open receivers like he did the past two games, they lose.

We should be able to throw all over Wisky...welp. We should be able to run down NWs throat...welp. Now we are hoping that we should be able to run and throw all over USC. This would be a great time for this team to nut up and start playing with a will to win.

I think some here need a huge reality check, I’m hearing absurd stuff like coaching up 3 stars and all this hogwash.

no, if this roster is not primarily blue chips then PSU will never amount to anything so instead of wasting $500 on snacks for your tailgate donate that to buy stud players.

you don’t like it or don’t want to hear it but it’s college football now.

Penn State can't run, pass, stop the run, and the coaching staff can't pick up tells they are giving away. The only thing they can do is cover wide receivers, but that will change because they can't pressure the QB, he will have all night to throw. This should be a blow out for USC.

Bet heavy then...I did
I mean the data doesn't support your claims here. A lot of this is still emotion over 1 game. We still should have beat Wisconsin
