Speaking of Sidney's reinstatement.

"Mississippi State's athletic department, men's football and basketball, a joke, please."

Football a joke?

Now he could have said baseball was a joke.. But football, did we just not skull-drag Michigan on Saturday?

Start the emails to Wilbon at ESPN...

Everyone knows our football program is not a joke. Everyone also knows our basketball program, well, kind of is a joke. This is no secret. When did we begin taking talking heads and journalists seriously?

This nimrod probably generated a few more MSU viewers with that comment. That show sucks, who cares?

without hitting the internet first. The farther away they get from topics on the NBA, NFL and MLB, the more idiotic the guys at PTI sound.

look I'm well past getting tired of the soap opera that has been MSU basketball but did the media expect us to kick off both players because they got into a fight. Granted it was a terribly bad time and place for it to happen but I think the way this has been blown out of proportion is a joke. If the situation was reconcilable (and I have no idea if it was) I would have reinstated both after as of now and hope they've learned their lesson. I've seen the media take less vocal stands on guys that have broken the law and been reinstated than what they have with this. 2 college guys getting into a fight is NOT national news under normal circumstances. And if Bailey caused the issue to begin with by not letting Sidney pass and then ALSO threw the first puch, which apparently he did, then I personally don't blame Sidney much for fighting back.

If you can't see that it's our basketball program that is the joke right now, you're either blind or just refusing to look. Two teammates getting into a fight isn't all that uncommon. But two teammates dressed like thugs getting into a fight on national TV isn't something you see every day, or even every year. If this was an isolated thing, it wouldn't be as big of a deal. But it's very obvious that this was just one more in a series of events that show this basketball program is completely out of control.

Sidney had on a gray shirt and sweatpants. The guy that was semi-dressed like a thug got shown the door. Just sayin'.

They could have been in tuxes and it would have still been worthy of getting kicked off the team.

I don't care how talented you are, team chemistry like that leads to loss after loss after loss.... It's not worth the two or three extra wins we may get to have either one of those clowns on team.

1. Yes, this has been blown out of proportion and 2. Yes, our BB program is starting to become a joke but mostly for reasons that are WAY more overarching than this fight incident. This fight is just a symptom of the overall problem. And I agree that the lack of a dress code shows a lack of discipline in our program but I haven't heard any media even bring this up. But maybe if they dressed better in public they would act better in public.

I think what he is getting at is that the penalties that everyone is screaming for kind of outweight the actual incident. If we kick both guys off the team like some of these talking heads are calling for then we are knee capping any chance we have for a respectable season and then they will still rip us in the media anyway. It is lose lose. We have too much invested in Sidney's fat *** to just boot him off this early. Sadly for Elgin, who is still just as fat and out of shape since coming back, he is not as talented and drew the short straw.
There are alot of guys around the country who get DUIs and get arrested for minor incidents that make the news but they don't get kicked off the team. The embarrassment of the entire situation with it being televised just makes the magnitude of the incident seem alot bigger.

I am sure the football remark was for us tryingnot to get in trouble with the NCAAby reporting an infraction. Who knew that the rules change daily and are different for each team. We were just trying to screw auburn because they rented the mule for more than we were willing to pay.
