Yes, but traditionally, last H to H counts for a lot. You never know with NCAA seeding. Much of the time it makes no sense, and if they can screw Iowa, they will. Doesn't really matter, 2 or 3 seed, as long as it's the other side of the bracket from Mess. Of course, four losses might hurt too.

It was senior night and a tight dual. If he was worried about workload then he should have sat out this one.
the way Williams has been handled this year feels off. He only wrestles ranked opponents and rarely goes back to back in duals. That’s not exactly how you build rhythm or confidence. It feels like he’s constantly being thrown into the fire without ever getting a stretch to settle in.
Mikey needs to beat both Lockett next week, and Blaze at BTT to secure a top 3 seed.

He pleads to wrestle every match, and then proceeds to not wrestle hard when he's on the match. I don't think there is some secret conspiracy going on, we have seen the reason why VV continues to get opportunities.
Williams would be winning the same matches VV is winning and VV wouldn’t of even been close against the likes of pj duke and Antrelle Taylor
If he “doesn’t wrestle hard” why is he consistently only put out against ranked guys? You don’t protect someone you think can’t go that doesn’t line up with what we’ve seen. And acting like there’s no bigger picture is wild. Constantly being sat and worrying if you’re even going to wrestle again if you can’t get a win is a big mentally and physically and affects confidence and performance especially if you are much better than the guy. I was at practice during football season and watched him battle back and forth with Mikey. Takedown for takedown. He was smaller than what he is now. The kid works hard in the room.
From my foxhole it appears as though both LR transfers, the VV brothers, and about 12 other starters and backups just don’t consistently have any fire in their guts. Plenty of blame to go around…
Even if Tom changed and suddenly because a good recruiter, a good match planner, a good developer, a good scouter, learned how to teach takedowns to everybody, and learned how to keep guys healthy and peak at right time (which we all know isn’t going to happen), he can’t turn it around next year and we are going to be worse—way worse. So, unless AD wants more wrestling program deterioration, the time to strike is right after nationals.
I wonder what would happen if Blaze were to forfeit to Caliendo in the big ten semis? Hopefully not a factor, but we’ve seen that stuff before.
I believe mff out in semis would drop you to 6th if you don't continue. That would be a terrible seed coming out of conference tournament.
I have never seen Caliendo take a night off. I don't even know who is back up is for the last 3 years.
