JMO. Not that it's saying much, since they haven't had a team in Omaha in 20 years or more.
They went all season without losing a single series, until they played a 3-game set AT UCLA 3 weeks ago. They went TO UCLA and lost a hard-fought series 2 games to 1 by the scores of 5-1 and 3-2, while winning 15-11. Then they lost 2 of 3 to Iowa last week with nothing to play for.
Upon further inspection, I determined why. In the SEC, we often underestimate the value that age brings, because we are dealing with the most talented players in the country that are often draft-ready in highschool, but actually go in the draft as juniors. This is how you build a team to compete in Big10 country...
