So I haven't done any real digging but we finished with 77 rush yards. I thought the on air crew said we rolled up 48 of those in the first drive very early in the telecast. So basically as a rough cut we averaged a single yard per carry on any drive we had during the game where Fyfe was erratic or mistake prone or the OL was forced to impose their will or at a minim play consistently.

Does that sound about right to anyone?

Falling behind on the road ... took the balance of running and passing out of the game.

4 interceptions and 1 lost fumble - 5 turnovers - Purdue had many examples of this early @ Marshall and @ Michigan State.

The running backs lost a total of 3 yards and finished with a little more than 5 yards per carry. We had 1 wide receiver run that went for about 20 yards I believe and another that lost 5 yards, we had 1 more that was a broken play that lost us 8 more yards to our own 7 yard line. Yes we ran a reverse from our own 15. Fyfe was sacked 1 more time for a loss and the bad snap on the pass play also cost us 24 yards from the rushing stats.

Riley will use the running game to fill the gaps between passing plays.

For the life of me, I don't undertand why the Broncos are running the ball tonight against Green Bay. Denver has a patchwork offensive line and their running game really struggled early in the year. Can't imagine why they're running it tonight, just because it's working.
