Let's hear everyone's thoughts on the next three games.

Purdue:

I hope we play with a lot of our starters only doing a quarter or two before switching over to a bunch of the back-ups. Purdue just lost their head coach, and they just aren't very good this year. Great time to get some young talent some experience, and rest the starters who definitely need to heal, because...

Wisconsin:

Is this a College Gameday game? A potential Top 10 match-up between two programs who consider themselves to be the real Big Ten West rivalry? Everything about this says this is going to be one hell of a game, one which we may lose, but hopefully we can eek out a win. Regardless, this should be a much better experience for us than in the past, when Pelini almost as a rule would get embarrassed by Wisconsin (I know, we beat them once in Lincoln, but that program has really had our number since we joined the Big Ten).

Is Wisconsin's offense THAT good? I know their defense is playing with their hair on fire right now, but I don't care who you are, if we stick with a 60%+ run attack the way we've been doing early in the season, I think even Wisconsin is going to get worn out from that after a while. Plus it allows us to control the pace of the game better.

Ohio State:

How I feel about this game has a lot to do with what happens in Madison; if we win against Wisconsin, hell yeah, let's see how we do here! If we lose, well, go out, play, have fun, and try to keep it respectable.

Thoughts all?

My guess....
Purdue Win
Wisky Loss
OSU Loss

I have a feeling the injury situation is going to get worse.

Even with that bye week the team is looking pretty rough. Still a great season out there to be had.

One thing is for sure, the second half of the schedule is much tougher than the first and will define the national perception of this squad.

Let's face it, at this time of year everyone is banged up. We are down to three potential different starters on the o-line for this game, two tackles and a guard. Talking possible shirts comimg off which is not good.

Wisconsin will cause us some serious fits. Their D is well disciplined and will stop our run game no matter how hard we try it. Too many people are living in some past fantasy land where our QB doesnt make mistakes and we can run on anyone at will.

Not saying we can't beat wisky, we can but we will need to be super hot in the passing game and shut down their running game.

I am more concerned about Minnesota than any of the next 3 games... But I am pretty strange when it comes to looking past the next opponent.

I'm more optimistic than most for the Wisconsin game after going to the game last year. We were in a position to win that game, but found a way to lose like only we were able to last year. That being said I know the game is there and we are banged up here and there, but I don't think it's a game we can't at least keep close and win on a field goal of our own at the end.

Win vs Purdue, will need help from Wisconsin, if not, a loss. Loss to tOSU. No shame in losing to Wisconsin or Ohio State, both solid teams with a few more horses in the corral than the Huskers. I think Purdue will be a tough game but I see a win Saturday.

It all depends on injuries. Right now it would be hard for us to beat Wisky and OSU with the number of starters that are out

agree with this .. we have no depth

In the grand scheme of things I don't think our injury situation is dramatically worse than a lot of other schools .. our injuries are just magnified because we don't have viable alternatives

Indiana was missing their top offensive lineman, starting DE and top WR and playmaker
Wisconsin has had to play with nearly new LB core including a walkon

next step for this staff in the coming years is building quality 2 deep depth
