Yep. Allen was on his way to another 15+ game and leading the team. Cal hates being wrong.

Allen also doesn’t have NBA lottery “potential” and since Boston has a higher ceiling he cares more about trying to get Boston on track to be able to send him to the nba then winning.

Direct example of Fox’s comments. Doesn’t care about winning college games but typically if you have nba potential guys youwin by default.

But when those guys don’t live up to expectations, Cal would rather try to get them on track and then still go to the league then to play the best lineups and win individual games.
