Doesn’t Theis go both ways???
Both Thies brothers play both ways as RB/DB. In the 6A championship game alone Jake Thies had:
18 tackles
41 yard INT
100 yards rushing (9 carries)
61 yards receiving (3 receptions)
2 TDs
An incredible performance and he’s been doing this all year. Many worthy candidates; I just thought I’d make the case for Thies.

Aaron Stewart

Think he had like 2800 yards and 40+ TDs....on the ground. Those are passing numbers, but on the ground. All while being the only focus of opposing defenses.

Its gotta be Aaron Stewart

It is really hard to vote against a player that broke the IHSA state record in both total yards and touchdowns

Jonas Williams is on paper the greatest QB in Illinois history

but for as many ways you can vote for him for this nomination there are just as many things that you can say against him receiving jt

Williams is proven to have been the best Illinois QB ever to dissect a defenses
- his strength of schedule over the last 2 years has always been called into question…

Most yards and TD’s in Illinois history
- Never won the big game and collapsed completely against MC

I wonder what would have happened if he had stayed at Bollingbrook

Phenomenal QB. His parents made the best decision for him. Obviously you want to see Brook kids thrive at Brook, but 2nd to that you want to see them thrive wherever they are whether thats DGS, LWE, or Naz, or MC, or PE, or NC, or NV (only place you dont want them to succeed at is Provi).

Dont think he gets it this year due to missing 2 games and the MC debacle and the numbers weren't as high as his competitors. Still the #1 QB in state history... after Bailey 😏

Very true, Bones. That's another thing we agree on.

Dowling - if I was an FCS coach I'd totally take a chance with him. I think he was the LEADER of this team and if he got hurt I think MC woud have lost along the way. But he didn't - tough kid and threw great balls this year. He's my vote

Jonas Williams and IMO it wasn’t close. This kid has all the tools to play on Saturday and I believe he will eventually play on Sundays. By far the best QB in Illinois history. It’s a shame he was injured towards the end of the season.
