Hanson Stadium had their track resurfaced a year or two ago.

Still 440 yards.

Just like that Field Turf -- a fad and you'll soon be coming back to their way of doing things.

Easy. East Aurora needs new turf and new bleachers. I told Superintendent Mike Popp this last year. I have been told on Facebook that work is being done this summer and the football team will play all of their home games at Aurora Christian High School this fall.

My opinion, but I think bus service for East Aurora HS is more important than a new football stadium and turf. Can you imagine 4000 students and all of them have to find their own way to school? Crazy. West Aurora HS (different school district) has bus service.

Have they installed turf at Richards? That field has been like concrete during the playoffs the last couple of times I worked there.

Nope Richards is still grass. They would have to put turf on Shepard's and Eisenhower's also, same district. I don't see that district spending that kind of money in the near future.

A quick glance at my Fall schedule shows me that there are 5 schools that should install turf as soon as possible.

Many East Aurora students take the city bus to school. They can be compensated for this. The football field is deplorable. Former head coach Bill Bryant told me grubworms eat the grass roots every summer and fall. This leads to large dry dirt spots. The stands are terrible. Last painted in 1999. Large weeds grow through them. Washrooms are rusted out. Kids and community deserves new complex.

WAS approved BY the School board in 2009, never voted on it:
