He graduated early before leaving, so he has one year of eligibility left. Word is he's been bulking up at Marble Slab so we'll be good to go this fall. If he fails, then Stegall pretty much has the job wrapped up.

Relf was Croom's (although Croom didnt know what the hell to do with him) and Russell was coming to State before Mullen arrived. So until Mullen proves to me he can sign an SEC quarterback , Im not gonna bash the guys that Croom signed. Yes, Mullen is 10 times better than Croom at developing QBs, now he needs to go out and prove to me we can recruit one (or better yet, buy one ...where's Melvin when we need him?)
Russell was practically out the door until we fired Crxxms' incompetent ***, don't you? Saban and Bama was making a hard, successful push for him. Mullen was able to sway him back, but he wasn't the lock you seem to think he was for about a month or so.
