Like I said, the ultimate play not to lose QB. The two deep throws were over thrown so no one can catch them. WR got behind the D and was open.Laviano had a much higher completion % and did not throw a pick. . . .
and your reasoning is? ...suggest something better in post#29Ash is hard to root for
Laviano had a much higher completion % and did not throw a pick. . . .
I am 190% with you. I have been advocating Gio since summer camp. I am just playing devil's advocate for when they name CL the starter again.Yes he had a higher completion %, but he couldn't move the offense and sustain drives. Rescigno showed an ability to sustain drives with his feet and he forces a defense to respect that aspect of his game. Laviano simply doesn't scare anyone. You don't need to account for him in the run game. Rescigno is a bigger more physical athlete and he is not afraid to tuck it and run with authority. I liked the grit he showed on a 3rd and 9 The play broke down and he broke about 6 tackles to pick up the first and keep the drive alive. There is no doubt in my mind that Lav would not have converted that 3rd down.

I was worried, but remained confident that you wouldn't disappoint me.
CL is the ultimate play not to lose QB.
I have found that in this election season and this football season, duality is an important quality to remain sane.
Laviano had a much higher completion % and did not throw a pick. . . .
But really was it a mistake? Took two great plays to make that into a killer pick 6. Defensive end gets the tip, then CB comes off his man to make the interception. So was it really a mistake by Gio or just two great plays by the defense on one play? I like him, he stood in the pocket took some shots to the chops in order to deliver the ball.Gio was great on his 2nd drive, leading to the TD. That fired up the defense and they got a 3 and out.
Then the killer pick six came on Gio's 3rd drive. But QBs with 25 career snaps tend to make mistakes. He fired up the team and easily has a better arm than Laviano or Allen. Ash really should've given him more reps in the earlier games.
Laviano had a completion rate of 58.3% versus Gio's 55.6%. That's not much higher; that's splitting hairs.Laviano had a much higher completion % and did not throw a pick. . . .
It's still higher and no picks. Check my posts above.Laviano had a completion rate of 58.3% versus Gio's 55.6%. That's not much higher; that's splitting hairs.
show your work. I picked GIO before you did.:boxing:I would just like to point out that I posted here that Gio would be the guy back in February.

You said it was much higher. Not at all. Both quarterbacks managed just one completion over 50%.Laviano had a much higher completion % and did not throw a pick. . . .
He did not throw a pick . . . . .You left that out.You said it was much higher. Not at all. Both quarterbacks managed just one completion over 50%.
He also didn't throw a touchdown, which Gio did.He did not throw a pick . . . . .You left that out.
Fixed it.One thing I noticed that Gio did to make a completion was step up into the pocket. Laviano just doesn't do it. Once protection breaks down , laviano puts his head down and runs for the sideline. He is incapable of making something out of nothing.
Technically, Gio did not throw a touchdown. He shot a touchdown. He also didn't throw a touchdown, which Gio did.

To me it looked like he was going for #3 Harris. The CB was trailing the play. The tip caused the change in trajectory towards Patton who was running a button hook 5yds. to the left of Harris. CB was simply in the right place at the right time. Harris had his man beat who the ball was intended for.It was a poor read because the receiver was double covered. But the tip and catch was just unlucky.
show your work. I picked GIO before you did.:boxing:
I called for Gio in April 2015 and in August and December 2015:
