When will we hear something official that's he's on or off the team ? And since he did not play but a handful of snaps could we use this year as redshirt like we did James

Just saw on another board that Paul Jones tweeted that he wasn't at practice today. My guess is his career at MSU is over.

Who gives a 17 at this point. He's had his share of 2nd chances. He doesn't want to and doesn't care to get his **** together. We have plenty of dt's that bust their *** day in and day out that deserve to get their chance over his lazy ***.

On the bright side, James supposedly played great today. Seems that there are encouraging signs with him.

Potentially crapping away millions. It makes you wonder what goes through these guys heads.
Really?

Yeah because he is the only one in college football that smokes pot. Tons of the pros do. He has much bigger issues than so,e green.

One of the few 5 star lineman that we get and he turns out like this.

Makes you appreciate Chris Jones all the more for living up to the talent expectations and having an awesome attitude too.

I was at practice.

I didn't come away thinking he played great.

I came away thinking it was great to see him out there playing.

The only "full contact" scrimmage part of practice was maybe the last 15 or 20 minutes before field goal kicking and sprints.

Nick played some, was very vocal, was moving around pretty well and seemed to be having a good time.

But to say he (or anyone else) played great would be an overstatement.

As controlled as it was and with limited contact it would to hard to judge.

As an aside, Nick Fitzgerald looked much better than I would have expected for first day out.

Seconded

If he did foul up again, it's time to cut him loose. As I've said over and over and over, he just doesn't have the mental capacity to succeed.

I don't believe pot is the kid's problem. When he enrolled early I saw him out the first couple of weekends back each night BLITZED. I took it as he's new in college and having a little fun while it's new, but it never stopped. Kid is an alcoholic. I'd rather he smoke week. It wouldn't have as bad of an effect on his physical ability.

We are, for the record, talking about two different practices. But I readily admit my info is second hand. Like I said--"supposedly."

Um, didn't he have a sack and a TFL?

I wish he'd get right. we sure could use him in the middle. I have said this before, but he and Nick at DT with CJ and Preston at ends is dynamic. Especially with the back end secondary. I don't know about the depth there, but those 4 could get it done.

I really wish he could get a mentor or something. Anything that would help.

He's apparently

had 3-4. At some point, you just have to cut the losers go, if they cannot be disciplined in the least bit.

The sun has set for Quay in Starkville. You have to be coachable and he and

Turner can't get on the same page. Chris Jones is coachable and is going to be a multi-millionaire very soon because he is. I'm afraid Quay may think he knows more than the coaches.
