I was reading Justin's piece on the scholarship players listed by graduating class and didn't see Jacob Hyde's name. Is he still on the team? Or, did he lose his scholarship?

Still on the team, just not much of a factor.
Running with Twos at NG behind Elam I thought. Not sure if he's a non-factor.
Define factor.
I would venture to say he will get more than a handful of snaps, Elam can't play every down, even if he is in considerably better shape than in the past two years. He is also considerably quicker than Elam, though not nearly the space eater that Elam is. I think Jacob could see considerable playing time, especially with the loss of Meant for this season.
Neither Elam nor Hyde play Meant's position so their participation percentage is a moot point.
Whether it be DT or NT, those guys had better be interchangeable as thin as we are at that spot. In a 4-3 set a DT is a DT he just has a different gap assignment than the NT in a 3-4, depending on the strong side of the offensive set.
Stoops said 16 at his Rotary club speech. We have 9 Seniors on scholarship and 80 total kids on scholarship which included Meant and Montgomery, neither of which may be on the team next year. I believe your January deadline is incorrect. I believe the deadline is the beginning of school.
You may not be counting Will Tom Collins as one of your Seniors on scholarship. Also, while it's not likely to happen under Stoops, it's perfectly legal to not to continue a former walkon on scholarship in future years.

Thanks, RV.
I'm not sure I understand the process any better. Transparency would be a good thing, but I guess coaches want to play their cards close to the vest.
I wasn't sure about Collins so I didn't include him in my count.
Sixteen signees in the next recruiting class and I don't know if that has changed with the departures.16 what?
