Question about RV Parking

Need some help here from someone who might know the parking situation for RVs. My father-in-law is an Auburn grad and takes his RV to the games. He has not been to Starkville but is coming this year for the Auburn game and needs help finding a place to park. I emailed the university and they told me that he can park at the horse park. The horse park is 10 minutes away from campus (more than that on a gameday). Is that really his best option? I would like for the in-laws to get a slightly better impression of Starkville than that. Are RV's no longer allowed to park by the vet school? Is that all BC parking now?

The Vet School RV parking and the RV parking north of The Hump are filled with season ticket holders just like parking lots for regular cars for game day. The closest on-campus parking will be the horse park. i have seen RV being towed from spots in those areas from people who thought they could park there without permits by getting there Thursday or Friday before game day, so don't try that. It's not that far to the Horse Park especially if they have a golf cart.

There's a private RV park right behind the liquor store, but I can all but guarantee it's full for all gamedays. Probably worth a quick phone call though.

Little farther out but I understand this is nice

Campus is full. Starkville station might be available because some owners might rent their spots out. It will be expensive. I have heard good things about wet and wild but never been there.

Holy hell.

TRY $55,000 PER SPOT OR AT LEAST THAT IS THE CURRENT ASKING PRICE FOR THE FEW SPOTS THAT ARE FOR SALE. Damn caps lock. Years ago, the lots behind the Vet school were for visitor RV parking and all the BDC RV parking was in the Hump parking lot. Some bean counter decided that they could move most of the RVs behind the vet school and sell all the spots at the Hump for $100 each for car parking and make more money. Your only options other than the Horse Park is Stansburys place at the old Oktibeha County Lake, they have several RV spots but I have never seen them. The only other option would be contacting the Rolling Bulldogs RV group and see if they will send out an email to ask if somebody is willing to sublet their spot for that game.

I stayed at the horse park for most games last year. They keep the gate locked going to south farm so golf cart is no longer an option. Last year they were charging $5 a head to ride the shuttle, $20 for the 4 of us, we just drove and parked on campus. This year we are going to be at wet and wild every game, little further out but you have sewage hookups, big plus with 4 people showering over a weekend.

There's Indian Mound Campground outside of town. Don't know if they have any spots available but you can check. My dad is keeping their travel trailer there for football season this year.
