why did msu decide to stop handing out pom-poms in the student section? most sec schools still do it (auburn, om, bama, ut, georgia, etc)....why did we stop? im assuming it was a financial decision.

The shakers at Auburn are not paid for by the university per se. There is a Spirit Committee within the SGA that buys them. SGA is funded by student fees so that money has less stringent controls.

Doesnt the BC hand them out along with "Beat ________" stickers at one of the big white tents? Thats where I got ours at the Alcorn game and every game previously.


Edit to add: Georgia does a pretty cool thing... They just pile them up on the hedge in front of the student section. Kind of a selfserve type of thing.
