Why is LSU playing the winner of the OM/AU game instead of Alabama? They've taken the 2 undefeated teams and put them in the opposite bracket from which they started. I don't recall them ever doing this before and what it is the reasoning behind it? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

they started in opposite brackets and are still in opposite brackets. Great possibilty they will play each other for the SEC Trnm Championship

Alabama was in the top half of the bracket and LSU was in the bottom half of the bracket. Now Bama is in the bottom and LSU, the top. I've never seen this done before in any sport, so why is it this way in the SECT this year?

This was done to prevent the rematches in the semi's from just a few days before...

Most of us MSU fans would be in the know about this, but haven't been to birmingham since the changes

and I'm pretty sure I've been paying attention the whole time even though we haven't been in it for a few years now. It could have just gone right over my head though. Kind of weird is all.

The SECT has swapped the brackets for the Saturday games since 2007.

We were in it in '07 and it was the normal way then. Guess it's easy to not give a **** when your team isn't involved.

ever faced off in the championship game (since expansion to > 4 teams)? If Alabama hold on (or wins Game 2), it will be 7 .vs. 8.
