If the Fiesta Bowl loses its BCS status, then most likely it will be replaced with the Cotton Bowl.
Since the Cotton Bowl has an SEC tie-in, the SEC will be short a bowl. Which bowl do you think will replace the Cotton Bowl for the SEC?
I would think it would be a bowl more geographically friendly than the Fiesta.

If they look into one bowl they will have to audit all of them. Everyone knows damn well that if they look into the Sugar Bowl there is no telling what they might find.

Champs Sports Bowl - Orlando - currently ACC-Big East - pays $2.25M
Texas Bowl - Houston - currently Big 12-Big 10 - pays $1.7M
Belk Bowl - Charlotte NC - currently ACC-Bog East - pays $1.6M

My guess is the Texas Bowl would up its payout and replace the Big 10 school with an SEC school.

The Champs Sports Bowl and the Texas Bowl both sound good. I'd rather not go freeze my *** off in any North Carolina based bowl. This past season's ACC Championship game played in Charlotte had miserable weather.

1. It's played in the same stadium as the Capitol One Bowl just a few days apart.

2. If we lose a Texas bowl and replace it with another Florida bowl, there'd only be 2 bowls left in the western side of the conference (and they're both nearthe bottom in the bowl order).

Now that the Big 12 is losing two teams, it doesn't need as many tie-ins, and an SEC-Pac 12 matchup would be really cool.

I think every other BCS conference has a bowl matchup with everyone else except for the SEC-Pac 12. Sun Bowl and meet em halfway or Holiday Bowl and a different experience would be great. Although since we left the Indy Bowl, the Cotton is the only Big 12 matchup with have.

I think Chick-fil-A is perfect
Capital One is perfect
Birmingham and Nashville are fine.

The Gator and Outback should explore an SEC-Pac 12- Big 10 thing, and the Liberty should find a home for the C-USA champ (New Orleans Bowl vs. Sun Belt champ?) and go after a Little 12 team.

If it happens, which is unlikely, it'll be the Cotton Bowl. They spread the bowls out geographically, Rose, Sugar, Orange running from West to East, so the logical choice is the West (from Texas through Arizona), the midwest (Chicago?), or the Northeast... but it's pretty cold up there during bowl season. The BCS would probably go with Dallas and Jerry's new house.
