I had to attend a function and was only able to keep up on twitter....

Did we only use Lindgren and Ross Mitchell? If so, that's great with a double header tomorrow.

We typically go with Ross out of the pen behind Evan Mitchell, so I wonder who we should expect first tomorrow? Hopefully we start Graveman in Game1 tomorrow and he can give us 6-7, that way IF there is a Game 2 we can have 5-6 arms in the pen.

Who do we see first out of the pen tomorrow?

Cohen said that he'll likely start Graveman in game 1. UK hit him pretty hard in both outings last year and he didn't last thru the third in either -- hopefully that's on his mind and he throws his best game tomorrow

Yes. Only 2 pitchers tonight.

Mitchell came on in the 5th and finished it with no runs and 5 hits, I believe. Excellent outing for Ross. He really saved the pen tonight.

Thanks.

Glad to see Ross with a long successful outing. I wouldn't be surprised to see Myles Gentry first out of the pen tomorrow...a lot of off speed stuff to minimize UK's power in that park, kinda like Ross.

Throwing Graveman 1st in the DH is definitely the smart thing.

Of Mitchell and Graveman, Graveman is the one most likely to go deep into the game. I thinking even with a bad outing tomorrow, we can get minimum 3 innings from him. Mitchell is one of those where you might get 6, or you might get 1 inning or less. Need that consistent starter for Game 1 and Graveman is the best guy for that.

Ideally you want Graveman and either Pollo or Cox to get you through 7-8 innings in game 1. Throw Bracewell to finish it off. Then for the 2nd game of the DH you have Gentry, Holder, either Cox or Pollo whichever doesn't pitch game 1 of the DH, Girodo, Brown, Bradford, Marc Shelley, and Fitts. Tons of options to throw in the back end of the DH.

Now obviously Graveman and Pollo/Cox going 7-8 innings is best case scenario. But if we can win game 1 only using 3 pitchers, I really like our chances in terms of pitching matchups in game 2 of the DH.

He said we would likely start Graveman in Game 2 of the series if they decided not to play a DH tomorrow. Since it is likely to get canceled on Sunday. Since it is a DH tomorrow I'm not sure what he'll do. Likely leave the rotation the same.

Sounded like Kendall will get the ball at 11. Wanna make sure your veteran gets the ball in case the weather gets bad quicker then planned.

I like it cause with graveman you know first and second inning if he has it or not.

UK's best hitters are lefties, so I expect to see Girodo and Pollo at some point today.

In a perfect world, we get through the first game with Graveman, Bracewell, and Holder at the maximum. Then you throw the kitchen sink at them in game two.

I agree. Need to get some innings out of Kendall in game 1. The thing with him, for better or worse, we always know early whether he is going to be effective. He stepped up big time last weekend. Would really like to see close to a repeat performance. Less than ideal conditions today. It was nice to be on the other side of a 4 error game last night.
