[QUOTE="The Bell Tolls for Thee, post: 132367371, member: 1812660"] I'm not happy WVU lost, but I'm not surprised as I stated earlier. That said, pointing out the truth about CFE is not attacking a "lonely old man" or an eternal optimist fan. It is acknowledging that he is a lying blowhard. He clogs the board with inane posts full of forced, fake country idioms. He plays this cynical game where he touts his "credentials" writing for local small town newspapers and his reliance on "analytics/numbers" as reasons for people to take his opinion more seriously than anyone else. He hardly ever actually explains HOW the numbers add up to his opinion, and the few times he does it frequently is a non sequitur. He will then thump his chest to the heavens when his opinions/predictions eventual hold water, but completely ignore the more often than not scenario where he is wrong. It is in that moment he will pull his "aw shucks, I just can't help but be a homer for my ole Alma Mater fan" that you seem to be taken in by. This despite pulling his credentialism and "objective" analysis of the data. If it is not that, it is attacks on everyone as being poorer and less cultured than his well traveled self (he's been to 48 states and X amount of countries, you know) with his "6 figure portfolio." He is a complete grifter acting like a down to earth common man, but he has nothing but contempt and elitist attitudes toward anyone he thinks is less intelligent than him. And that is anyone who dares to point out flaws in his logic/opinions. The man literally said that because WVU only lost to 1, 2, and 3 seeds (not true, we lost to a team not even worthy of an NIT bid) that he "smelled and Elite 8" Yet anyone with a brain that dares to ask if as a 9 seed WVU is all but guaranteed to face a 1 seed, how it fits even giving him the benefit of the doubt with his flawed "analytics" since WVU was winless against anyone with a 1 or 2 seed.
