Is the act of tucking the ball considered possession and control? I still think the LSU player intercepted that pass late in the game in that he caught the ball and has 1 foot in bounds. He then immediately starts to tuck the ball and the next step is out of bounds as he is doing that. The play was called incomplete and the review did not reverse it. I can't believe act of tucking the ball is loss of control.

Since he caught the ball with his hands and not his body it was a catch almost the same time the ball touched his hands. His hands clamped onto the ball. Him tucking the ball just made it even more conclusive. Think of how many plays you have seen in the back corner of the end zone where the offensive guy catches a fade with his arms stretched out.
